Bathinda, OCT 13: The Bathinda Police have made their first breakthrough in the high-profile murder case of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota, arresting an individual accused of helping the prime suspect escape. Bathinda Range DIG Harjeet Singh confirmed that preliminary investigations indicate the tragic shooting stemmed from a long-standing personal rivalry dating back to a 2023 dispute between the victim and the prime suspect, Ashwani.
Authorities reported receiving information regarding the incident at approximately 10:30 AM on Tuesday, after which multiple dedicated police teams were mobilized to apprehend the culprits. Police officials revealed that a licensed firearm is believed to have been used in the offense. While intensive raids are underway to capture the main accused, family members of the suspects have also been detained for questioning as the investigation progresses.
