Bhawanigarh, Sangrur, 27 February 2025 – Tension grips Bhawanigarh as a candidate for the presidency of the local truck union allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison.
Manjit Singh Kaka, who was reportedly in the race for the presidency of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Truck Union, has been hospitalized in critical condition.
The election, scheduled for today, saw Vicky Bajwa appointed as the president. Manjit Singh, reportedly a candidate for the position, consumed poison within the truck union premises and was rushed to Gupta Hospital.
Police have reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
