Abohar, July 29: Panic spread across Abohar town on Wednesday morning following bomb threat calls received by multiple private educational institutions, forcing authorities to suspend academic operations and evacuate students safely.
Anti-sabotage teams were immediately deployed across affected premises to conduct exhaustive security sweeps and verify the presence of any suspicious or explosive materials.
“Four private schools received the threat calls around 9 am,” Abohar DSP Harish Kumar stated while outlining the official police response. He maintained that specialist teams were pressed into service right away to undertake comprehensive search operations.
School management committees declared an emergency holiday shortly after receiving the threats to ensure the complete safety of students, faculty, and support staff.
Law enforcement official sources noted that while preliminary assessments suggest the threats may be a hoax, investigative teams are treating the matter with priority and pursuing detailed inquiries to trace the origin of the calls.
