13 January 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) seized a pistol and 548 grams of heroin on Sunday, reportedly dropped by a Pakistani drone along the India-Pakistan border.
An official confirmed that the consignment, which included two packets, was found in a field near Tendiwala.
According to the officer, one packet contained a pistol with a magazine, while the other held the heroin.
Both were attached to an iron hook, a clear indication of the drone-drop method.
“We are consistently intercepting such drone drops, which are attempts by smugglers to push arms and narcotics into Indian territory,” the officer remarked.
