BSF Seizes 1 Kg Heroin Near Lakha Singh Wala Border

Ferozpur, 17 February 2025 – Personnel from the 182 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered two packets of heroin, totaling 1 kg, near the Lakha Singh Wala Border Outpost (BOP) along the Indo-Pakistan border.

BSF troops deployed near the BOP heard drone activity late last night, prompting a swift search operation. “The sound of drones raised suspicion, leading to a thorough search,” a BSF spokesperson said. The operation resulted in the recovery of the narcotics, underscoring the heightened vigilance at the border.

The heroin was found concealed near the border area, and an investigation is underway.
