BSF Seizes Heroin Worth ₹13 Crore at Punjab Border

Amritsar, 5 Jan: The Border Security Force (BSF), in a coordinated effort with Amritsar Police, intercepted two smugglers near the Attari border area, seizing 5.30 grams of heroin.

In a separate operation near Ballarwal village along the Ajnala border, the BSF recovered over 2 kilograms of heroin and 40 rounds of 9mm bullets.

Officials estimate the street value of the seized heroin at approximately ₹13 crore.

These operations mark a significant success in curbing cross-border smuggling in Punjab. Security forces have intensified vigilance in border areas, with further investigations underway.
