Chandigarh, April 29 — A 21-year-old woman from Dera Bassi, who went missing on April 22, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near a beach in Ottawa, Canada. Vanshika, a student, had not been heard from since the day she went missing, sparking concerns among her family.
Her father, Davinder Saini, a local leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), raised questions about the circumstances of her death. “I last spoke to my daughter on April 22, but after that, her phone was switched off. I suspect foul play,” he said, calling the situation deeply suspicious.
Following her disappearance, a missing person report was filed with the Ottawa police, but the authorities have yet to release a clear cause of death.
The discovery of Vanshika’s body has only raised more questions than answers.
Vanshika had moved to Canada around two and a half years ago, after completing her Class XII exams.
Her family, still grappling with grief, is demanding a thorough investigation into the incident.
“We are desperate for answers. We want to know what really happened to our daughter,” Saini added, urging Canadian authorities to uncover the truth behind her untimely death.
As the investigation continues, the community and family are left to mourn a young life cut short under unclear and troubling circumstances.
