Chandigarh, November 25, 2024: The Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission has issued a stern warning to private schools flouting Education Department guidelines on school opening times during summer and winter seasons.
Chairman Kanwardeep Singh stated that some schools start classes earlier than the prescribed schedule, posing safety risks to children, especially during foggy and cold conditions. Recent incidents of school bus accidents have heightened these concerns.
In response, the commission has directed the Education Department to take strict action against violators.
Singh said that if any school disregards government orders and an accident occurs, its principal and management will be held accountable.
