Mohali, November 22, 2024: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the Jain Bhagwati Diksha Mahotsav held in Mubarikpur, Mohali. The event celebrated spiritual and cultural values, with Mann emphasizing his commitment to serving the diverse communities of Punjab.
“As a public leader, it is my responsibility to protect the interests of every citizen,” Mann remarked, highlighting Punjab’s legacy as a land of peace and harmony among different religions, languages, and social classes. He added, “I am entrusted with a sacred duty to serve this land, and I will leave no stone unturned in this mission.”
The Chief Minister shared his past connection with the Jain community, acknowledging the blessings of Jain saints and announcing full government support for establishing a state-of-the-art hospital in the region. “This hospital will play a pivotal role in providing quality healthcare to the people of northern India,” he said.
Mann reiterated his government’s commitment to the teachings of great gurus, saints, and martyrs, stressing the universal values of spirituality, simplicity, and non-violence. “Religion guides us toward liberation through spirituality and instills ideals of brotherhood and peace,” he noted.
The Chief Minister underlined the significance of events like the Diksha Mahotsav in preserving Punjab’s religious and social traditions. “Such programs are essential for educating younger generations about our rich heritage, fostering unity, and connecting humanity,” Mann concluded.
