CHANDIGARH, MAY 17 — Multiple senior Congress party figures and grassroots organizers from the Majitha constituency officially switched their allegiances to the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann presided over the induction ceremony, welcoming the new members alongside Talbir Singh Gill, the AAP constituency in-charge for Majitha. The high-profile political shift includes the defection of notable figures Parmjeet Singh Pamma, Palwinder Singh Pali, Jagdeep Singh Goga, Apramdeep Singh Appu, and Amandeep Singh.

The administration maintained that the development reflects widespread support for ongoing governance strategies across the state. Chief Minister Mann asserted that the policies of the current administration remain dedicated to the welfare of every section of society. He further stated that the public is rising above traditional divisions to favor development-focused governance, noting that the inclusion of these regional figures will provide unprecedented strength to the party in the area as they work toward regional prosperity.

The influx of experienced workers is expected to alter the organizational strength of both parties in the legislative segment. Commenting on the transition, Talbir Singh Gill affirmed that the local influence of the Congress party has experienced a notable downturn, while the induction of these dedicated organizers has solidified the foundational strength of the Aam Aadmi Party within the region.

The incoming members expressed alignment with the current leadership following their formal entry. The newly inducted leaders collectively offered their gratitude to the Chief Minister, declaring that they intend to work continuously to build and support the political organization at the grassroots level.
