Lucknow, August 26 — Continuous efforts by the state power department have ensured that electricity supply across Uttar Pradesh remains stable despite severe weather conditions and heavy rainfall. In locations where adverse weather caused technical disruptions, departmental field teams immediately moved into action to resolve faults and restore service.
Departmental personnel remain deployed on shifts through the day and night to maintain grid stability. When storms cause damaged lines or fallen poles, workers handle repairs on a prompt footing. The department has requested consumers to maintain patience while field workers complete local repairs.
Departmental leadership has directed regional teams to conduct regular field visits and monitor substation operations. UPPCL Chairman Dr Ashish Kumar Goel affirmed that officials must exercise heightened caution throughout the rainy season. He declared that maintenance work must proceed proactively to prevent outages, and any local technical issues must be resolved within the shortest possible timeframe.
With upcoming festivals in mind, official directives have been issued to maintain seamless power delivery. The Chairman declared that any localized disruptions should be rectified immediately. Additionally, power utilities have been asked to update consumers through official channels and social media regarding repair timelines and estimated restoration schedules.
Alongside supply maintenance, public safety measures are being monitored across districts. Teams are actively identifying potential hazards to prevent accidents caused by damp conditions or fallen wires.
UPPCL Distribution Director Gyanendra Dhar Dwivedi stated that the public should observe safety protocols during wet weather. He advised residents to avoid touching electrical fixtures, metal structures, or appliances with bare feet, and to maintain distance from waterlogged areas near electrical installations.
