Amritsar/Chandigarh: In the Delhi Drug haul case, the Delhi Police’s Special Cell recovered cocaine worth ₹10 crore and a Fortuner car during a raid in Amritsar, Punjab, linked to a ₹5,600 crore drug recovery in Delhi, and led to the arrest of Jatinder alias Jassi at Amritsar Airport, following crucial intelligence from the village of Nepal in Amritsar.
The investigation revealed that the mastermind behind the international syndicate is Indian citizen Virender Basoa, currently based in Dubai.
A lookout circular has been issued against Basoa and his son, with Basoa previously arrested in India for drug-related charges before fleeing to Dubai.
Delhi Police has seized a total of 560 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana, valued at ₹5,620 crore, marking one of the biggest drug hauls in the country.
Four accused have been arrested so far, including Tushar Goyal, Himanshu Kumar, Aurangzeb Siddiqui, and Bharat Kumar Jain from Mumbai.
