Chandigarh, June 23: The state-led women’s welfare initiative is set to execute a significant direct-benefit transfer on July 1, providing multi-month financial assistance directly into the bank accounts of all eligible female residents. Under the ‘Maavan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna’, the administration will deliver a consolidated three-month payment, ensuring that general category beneficiaries receive ₹3,000 while women from Scheduled Caste communities receive ₹4,500. Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal affirmed that the scope of this financial framework establishes it as an unprecedented global benchmark for institutional women’s empowerment.

The operational structure of the scheme ensures that individual eligibility remains independent of household size, meaning multiple qualifying women within a single family will each receive their dedicated transfers. The decision to dispense three months of assistance at once followed direct interactive consultations with rural communities, where residents expressed a preference for receiving larger, consolidated sums over smaller monthly distributions. “On July 1, women will receive three months’ worth of honorarium together in their bank accounts,” the national convenor declared, welcoming the implementation strategy drafted by the state government.

The primary objective of this administrative initiative centers on reinforcing social dignity and providing reliable fiscal support for the personal and traditional expenditures of women. State authorities maintained that while the allocated amounts are designed to assist with daily or customary needs, the broader goal is to strengthen the economic independence of women within their families. According to government representatives, utilizing public resources to bolster the financial stability of female citizens remains a core duty of a responsive administration.
