Srinagar, 10 November 2024: Security forces are engaged in an ongoing encounter in Srinagar’s Ishber area, where two to three militants are believed to be trapped. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the militants are locals or non-locals.
Meanwhile, in Sopore, north Kashmir, three militants were killed in two separate gunfights over the past 24 hours. One militant was killed during a gunfight in Rampura Rajpora on Saturday evening, while two others were eliminated earlier in a clash at Sahipora. The identities of the slain militants have not been confirmed yet.
Authorities are continuing their operations in both areas as security forces remain on high alert.
