Kanauri, 12 February 2025: Farmer leader, president of the Lok Bhalai Insaf Welfare Society (LBIWS), Baldev Singh Sirsa suffered a heart attack ahead of the farmers’ Mahapanchayat at the Khanauri border and was rushed to Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, for treatment.
According to farmer leader Lakhwinder Singh Aulakh, Sirsa had been on continuous heart medication and had previously suffered a heart attack at the same location.
He experienced another attack just before the Mahapanchayat began, leading to a deterioration in his condition.
Sirsa was immediately ferried by ambulance to the hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.
