Chandigarh, 19 December 2024: The Delhi andolan movement continues its momentum, with rail blockades successfully organized on December 6, 8, and 14, halting train services at 50-60 locations in 23 districts of Punjab.

According to reports, these three-hour disruptions from 12 to 3 pm were in response to a call from the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political), protesting the alleged suppression of dissent by the central government.

Speaking from the Amritsar-Delhi rail line, Sarwan Singh Pandher accentuated widespread support from farmers, laborers, traders, and other sections across Punjab, condemning the government’s alleged attempts to corporatize agriculture.

“The Modi government’s agricultural marketing policy is a disguised revival of the repealed farm laws, aimed at displacing 68 crore farmers from agriculture,” he stated, accusing the Agriculture Minister of misleading Parliament.

Pandher criticized Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s “conspiratorial silence” and called for nationwide unity to intensify the struggle.

He warned of prolonged protests until demands are met, stressing, “If Dallewal Ji sacrifices his life, the government will be responsible.”

The agitation is now set to escalate with a call for a Punjab bandh on December 30, exempting emergency services, and urging public solidarity in support of farmers and laborers.
