Chandigarh, 11 February 2025: Chandigarh Police have registered an FIR against Chandigarh Youth Congress president Deepak Lubana, along with Sachin Galib, Ravi Rana, and others, for violating prohibitory orders issued by the district magistrate.

The case, filed at Sector 36 Police Station under Sections 221 and 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, is based on a complaint by Assistant Sub-Inspector Dev Lal.

The Youth Congress, led by Lubana, marched from Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 towards the BJP office in Sector 34 on Sunday, raising concerns over unemployment and drug abuse.

However, police had barricaded the route, preventing them from reaching their destination. As protesters attempted to breach the blockade, police responded with lathicharge and water cannons, leaving four injured. The injured protesters were taken to GMSH-16 for treatment.
