Bathinda, 24 Nov 24: A fire broke out at a restaurant opposite Adaesh University on Chandigarh National Highway, Bathinda, at daybreak on Sunday.
Fire brigade teams from Bhucho Mandi and Bathinda Thermal Plant controlled the blaze after an hour and a half of intense effort.
Fireman Dev Singh, who led the operation, confirmed they received an alert early morning and acted promptly to contain the fire.
A cylinder explosion occurred during the incident, but the quick response averted a major disaster.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. No casualties have been reported, and the site is under investigation.
