High-speed SUV crash near Dhulawat toll plaza leads to multiple fatalities

Nuh, May 5: A severe road accident on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway claimed the lives of five Uttar Pradesh Police personnel on Tuesday morning. the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. near the Dhulawat toll plaza in the Nuh district of Haryana.

The officers, who were stationed in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, were traveling toward Palwal in a Mahindra Scorpio when the vehicle reportedly lost control. According to eyewitness accounts, the driver was attempting to overtake another vehicle at a high rate of speed when the SUV struck a vehicle ahead of it.

Tauru Sadar SHO Shish Ram Yadav affirmed that the impact of the crash was so intense that all five occupants died at the scene. He stated that the vehicle was left mangled, requiring emergency teams to use significant force to extricate the bodies from the wreckage.

Local police and rescue units reached the site shortly after the collision to begin recovery efforts. SHO Yadav maintained that the Superintendent of Police in Jalaun has been formally notified of the tragedy.

Authorities have initiated a full investigation into the circumstances of the crash. While preliminary reports suggest speed was the primary factor, officials stated that they are still in the process of confirming the identities of all victims and examining the mechanical state of the vehicle involved.
