Lucknow: Forest divisions across Uttar Pradesh are finalizing arrangements to observe Teacher’s Day through dedicated environmental drives under the ‘Ek Ped Guru Ke Naam’ banner. The initiative forms part of a broader series of specialized thematic groves established throughout the year, designed to express gratitude toward educators while expanding local tree coverage. Official updates indicate that all regional forest offices have completed logistics to host commemorative planting activities across every division.
In Lucknow, the divisional forest office has scheduled a central gathering near the Chandrika Devi Temple, where authorities plan to distribute young plants as token gifts to visitors and participants. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to participate by planting a sapling during state-level Teacher’s Day proceedings in Gorakhpur. Chief Conservator of Forests Aditi Sharma maintained that these targeted projects help connect community milestones with long-term ecological goals, following earlier successes with specialized sites such as Maharshi Charak Aushadhi Van.
