Mumbai: Customs seized gold and foreign currency valued at Rs 1.48 crore from two passengers at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
According to reports, the operation, conducted on the night of October 4-5, resulted in the arrest of both passengers.
Officials confirmed the recovery of 1.165 kg of gold worth approximately Rs 84 lakh, which was concealed on the body of one of the accused.
Moreover, foreign currency amounting to Rs 63.98 lakh was discovered hidden in the handlebars of trolley bags and cabin bags.
