Kullu, 30 December 2024 – The highlands of Himachal Pradesh are witnessing a change in weather, with intermittent snowfall reported on the peaks of Kullu, Lahaul, and Rohtang.
This weather shift is attributed to the activation of the Western Disturbance.
Overcast skies have covered Kullu since morning, with a noticeable drop in temperatures intensifying the cold.
The fresh snowfall has brought much-needed relief to farmers, gardeners, and tourism businesses who have been grappling with a three-month-long dry spell.
The Meteorological Center in Shimla has forecast rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of Chamba, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kangra, Mandi, and Kinnaur districts from today until December 3.
However, the weather is expected to remain clear in the other districts during this period. A statewide improvement is predicted from December 4, while Mandi recorded light fog on Saturday morning.
