Chandigarh, Oct. 10, 2024: The Punjab government has announced a holiday for state employees and students, with schools and government offices closed on October 15 and 17.
The closure on October 15 is due to the Punjab elections, ensuring that citizens can participate in the democratic process.
As a result, all government offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions will be shuttered on that day.
Moreover, a holiday has been declared on October 17 in observance of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, with all schools and government offices closed for the occasion.
