Chandigarh, September 22: Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) minister Vikramaditya Singh, 35, married Amreen Kaur Sekhon, a doctorate in psychology from Panjab University, in a private ceremony in Chandigarh on Monday.

The ceremony was described as “a low-key family affair” by Vikramaditya’s mother, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president and former MP Pratibha Singh. Amreen is the daughter of Chandigarh residents Opinder Kaur and Jotinder Singh Sekhon.

Vikramaditya, the son of Congress stalwart and six-time chief minister Virbhadra Singh, was earlier married to Sudarshana Chundawat of Amet, Rajasthan. The couple parted ways in November 2024 after their 2019 wedding.

Currently a Congress MLA from Shimla (Rural), Vikramaditya had unsuccessfully contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, where he lost to BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut.

Educated at Bishop Cotton School in Shimla, Vikramaditya went on to graduate with history honours from Hansraj College, Delhi University, in 2011. He later completed his post-graduation in history from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi, in 2016.
