Chandigarh, 12 February 2025: After drawing over 30 lakh views and engaging more than 30 frontline influencers in its Nasha Mukt Jeevan Bucket Challenge, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) has launched a new phase—Break The Cycle Bucket Challenge—to push addicts toward recovery.
The initial challenge, aimed at mobilizing youth against drug abuse, generated over 7 lakh impressions and 1.5 lakh posts using #NashaMuktJeevan and #NayabJeevan.
Videos by influencers, celebrities, and even local leaders like nambardars further amplified its reach.
Encouraged by the impact, HSNCB has now shifted its focus to those struggling with addiction.
“Since its inception, the movement has exceeded expectations. With over 5 lakh likes, shares, and comments, we know the engagement is real, and the message is spreading,” said OP Singh, HSNCB chief.
“Nearly 30 lakh people have been exposed to its message, but the real success lies in the conversations it has sparked in homes, schools, and communities.”
The Break The Cycle Bucket Challenge builds on the momentum by directly involving addicts. Over the next two weeks, participants will discard a bucket of muddy water—symbolizing breaking free from addiction—pledge to a drug-free life, and nominate three others to do the same.
