IND vs NZ: Fourth Day’s Play Halted by Rain

Chandigarh, October 19, 2024: The first Test match of the three-match series between India and New Zealand at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore saw play come to a halt on the fourth day due to rain.

India solidified their position on Saturday with impressive centuries from Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant. Sarfaraz, in particular, celebrated the first century of his Test career, starting the day with a score of 70 runs and showcasing an aggressive batting style. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant contributed significantly with a solid half-century.

At the time play was suspended, India had amassed 344 runs for three wickets in their second innings. Sarfaraz was at the crease with an impressive score of 125 runs, while Pant had made 53 runs. Both batsmen delivered outstanding performances, helping India recover and build a strong foundation as they aimed for a commanding lead in the match.
