Panipat, Jan 22: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that Haryana is aiming to transform Panipat, Gurugram, and Faridabad into a unified global export hub. Speaking to industry stakeholders on Wednesday, he noted that foreign direct investment in the textile sector has doubled over the last decade, providing a strong foundation for future growth.

The state government is prioritizing diversification, with Saini urging exporters to look beyond traditional products and invest in research for medical and technical textiles. He mentioned that special provisions have been included in the state budget for women’s skill development to help them transition into management and design roles.

“All eligible entrepreneurs will be supported by the government,” Saini said while discussing the removal of limits on the capital investment subsidy scheme.

The Chief Minister also discussed the vital role of the food processing sector, describing it as a necessary link between farmers and consumers. He mentioned that the sector ensures better pricing for agricultural produce and integrates modern technology into farming practices to make it a more profitable enterprise.

“It ensures better prices for farmers’ produce, connects them with modern technology and makes agriculture a profitable enterprise,” he said.

During the session, Saini invited industry representatives to provide further inputs and suggestions over the next 8 to 10 days. He assured the attendees that all recommendations would be examined seriously to ensure the upcoming budget supports industrial growth.

He noted that the extension of the Aatmanirbhar Textile Policy until late 2026 would provide the stability needed for long-term planning. Saini said that the state remains committed to realizing the vision of making Haryana a leader in the global textile landscape.
