14 May, IPL 2025: Former Indian team captain Sunil Gavaskar has demanded from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that the remaining matches of IPL 2025 should be conducted in a normal manner. The remaining matches of IPL 2025 are starting from May 17. In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, the BCCI had postponed the IPL for a week, but now it will start with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Demand not to play DJ and music

The BCCI has made all the preparations to start the IPL, but Gavaskar has appealed to the BCCI not to play music and DJ in the stadium during its matches as many people have lost their loved ones recently. Gavaskar told Sports Today, we have played about 60 matches. I think there are 15 or 16 matches left now. I sincerely hope, because of what has happened and some families have lost their loved ones, I would like that there is no music and no DJ during the match.

Gavaskar said – It is important to respect the feelings of the victim families

Gavaskar said that it is necessary to respect the feelings of the families who have lost their loved ones. He said, the match should be started and the audience should be allowed to come to the stadium. Do the tournament, but it is important to keep a balance in it. There should be no cheerleaders in it. Only cricket should be played so that we can respect the feelings of the families who have lost their loved ones.

BCCI released revised schedule

IPL 2025 was postponed due to tension between India and Pakistan. Earlier, the match played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was also canceled. So far 57 matches have been played in the IPL and the BCCI has announced the revised schedule for 17 matches including the final. According to this, the canceled match between Punjab and Delhi will be played again. This match between the two teams will be held in Jaipur on 24 May. The final of IPL 2025 will now be played on June 3 instead of May 25.
