New Delhi, 1 February 2025: Jet fuel prices jumped 5.6% on Saturday, with aviation turbine fuel (ATF) rising by ₹5,078.25 per kilolitre to ₹95,533.72 per kl in Delhi, according to state-run fuel retailers. The hike follows a 1.5% reduction on January 1. In Mumbai, ATF now costs ₹89,318.90 per kl, up from ₹84,511.93.
This marks the third increase in four months. ATF prices had risen by ₹2,941.5 per kl (3.3%) on November 1 and by ₹1,318.12 per kl (1.45%) on December 1, 2024.
Meanwhile, commercial LPG prices were cut by ₹7 per 19-kg cylinder, bringing the cost to ₹1,797 in Delhi. This follows a ₹14.5 per cylinder reduction in the last revision on January 1, after five consecutive hikes that had raised prices by ₹172.5 per cylinder. In other metros, commercial LPG now costs ₹1,749.50 in Mumbai, ₹1,907 in Kolkata, and ₹1,959.50 in Chennai.
Domestic LPG rates remained unchanged at ₹803 per 14.2-kg cylinder. Fuel prices vary across states due to local taxes, including VAT.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) adjust ATF and LPG prices monthly based on international benchmarks and exchange rates.
Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged after a ₹2 per litre cut in mid-March ahead of the general elections. In Delhi, petrol costs ₹94.72 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹87.62.
