LG Administration Spent ₹14.85 Crore on Chartered Flights

Srinagar/Jammu, March 18 — The LG led Jammu and Kashmir administration has spent ₹14.85 crore on chartered flights over the last four years, the NC government informed the Assembly on Tuesday.

In response to a cut motion by Shopian MLA Shabir Ahmad Kullay, the government said ₹14,85,94,471 was incurred on chartered flights after following codal formalities. “There were no chartered flights before 2021,” it disclosed.

The government also revealed that ₹1.23 crore was spent on VIP visits to Jammu and Kashmir during 2024-25.

“The total expenditure of ₹1,23,12,245 is within the sanctioned budget and subject to periodic audits to ensure transparency and fiscal discipline,” it stated.

It added that the spending on VIP visits adhered to established protocols to ensure their smooth conduct.
