Lions Club, JLPL Aid Workers with Blankets, Langar in Mohali

Mohali, 16 January 2025 – JLPL and Lions Club Panchkula Premier joined hands to organize two humanitarian projects—Blanket Distribution and Langar Sewa—on January 16 at Galaxy Heights 2, JLPL, Sector 66A, Mohali.

The event saw over 1,500 construction workers receiving warm blankets, followed by a hearty meal of channa and puri.

Lion Vineet Goyal, PMJF, and District Governor, graced the event as the chief guest and commended the club’s initiative. “It’s heartwarming to see the collective effort towards spreading warmth and care during these harsh winters,” said Goyal, who also presented honor pins to several club members for their contributions.

Project Chairpersons Lion Paramjit Singh and Dr. S.S. Bhamra welcomed the chief guest, along with Lion Atul Kumar Sharma, who attended as a special guest.

Speaking at the event, Lion Atul Kumar highlighted the importance of such initiatives, saying, “True service lies in uplifting the most underserved communities.”

The event saw enthusiastic participation from club members, including President Lion Dinesh Sachdeva, Secretary Lion Ikesh Pal Singh, Treasurer Lion Raman Kumar, and several other Lions and Golden Lionesses.

Adding to the day’s success, the weather remained favorable, offering sunshine and clear skies that enhanced the spirit of service and camaraderie.
