Sangrur, July 1: The Punjab government has launched a massive state-wide campaign to carry the timeless message of equality, social justice, and universal brotherhood of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj to every corner of the state. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday flagged off fifty specially designed mobile documentary vans from the capital, initiating a widespread educational drive that will cover nearly thirteen thousand villages across all twenty-three districts. Equipped with large twelve-by-eight-foot LED screens, these vehicles will broadcast a concise thirty-minute documentary detailing the life, philosophy, and sacred teachings of the great spiritual leader.

The initiative forms a core component of the state administration’s comprehensive, year-long program dedicated to commemorating the landmark six hundred fiftieth Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. To facilitate these expansive celebratory and educational events, the state government has earmarked a dedicated budget of one hundred crore rupees. The primary objective is to inspire the younger generation and connect households with the vision of an egalitarian society completely free from caste discrimination and social inequality.

“It is a moment of great pride for all of us as we embark upon yet another noble initiative as a mark of our devotion and reverence to Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj,” Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared. He added that he considers himself deeply fortunate to have overseen major spiritual milestones, including the three hundred fiftieth Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and now this historic six hundred fiftieth Parkash Purab.

The Chief Minister asserted that the sacred teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj remain profoundly relevant in contemporary times, serving as a moral compass for humanity. He maintained that the spiritual ambassador stood as a powerful messiah for the poor and underprivileged, teaching humanity to lead virtuous lives rooted in mutual respect.

According to the Chief Minister, the state remains steadfast in its resolve to build a progressive society where every single citizen can live with absolute self-respect and dignity. He affirmed that the short documentary is structured to be highly impactful, serving as a true tribute to a lifetime spent eradicating social evils. Cabinet Ministers Dr. Ravjot Singh and Tarunpreet Singh Sond were also present during the flagging-off ceremony to support the launch of the state-wide tour.
