Namdhari Harvinder Singh Hanspal Passes Away

New Delhi, 21 December 2024:Prominent Namdhari leader and two-time Rajya Sabha Member, Harvinder Singh Hanspal, passed away at Max Hospital, Delhi, due to a heart attack during a routine check-up. Hanspal, 74, had recently been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party after serving as the President of the Punjab Congress.

His last rites will take place on Tuesday, 24 December, at Rajouri Garden in Delhi. The Namdhari community mourns his passing, with tributes pouring in from across the political spectrum.

Political Journey
Hanspal was a two-time Rajya Sabha member representing Punjab under the Indian National Congress. He also served as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President and held key roles in Parliament, including Chairman of the House Committee. Beyond national politics, Hanspal represented India at the United Nations, adding to his distinguished political legacy.

In 2022, Hanspal made headlines when he shifted allegiance to the Aam Aadmi Party, marking a significant turn in his political career.
