What did Nasir Hussain say about Virat Kohli?
The 36-year-old Kohli was not only the biggest promoter of Test cricket but also India’s most successful Test captain. Hussain said on Sky Sports Cricket Podcast, ‘He is a champion cricketer. He plays with the aim of winning and is anxious to win. For Kohli, everything is about winning. So he is adept at chasing the target. If he can’t give hundred percent then he doesn’t get on the field. He always tries his best.’
Kohli always wants to do something special
Hussain said, ‘Maybe that’s why he took the decision to retire. He doesn’t want to be an ordinary cricketer. He wants to do something special. He made India the power it is today. I have been a big fan of Kohli since last 14 years. His statistics speak for themselves, but they are far beyond the statistics. His personality, swag and passion are commendable. We know Indian cricket fans and cricket means a lot to them.’
Kohli is an incredible cricketer
He said, ‘No one has awakened so much passion for cricket in India than Kohli. He is an incredible cricketer. He led India to number one where the team remained for 42 months. Kohli has changed the way the Indian team plays cricket.
