Over 1205 Join Punjab Police in Recruitment Drive

Chandigarh, November 16, 2024 — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, alongside former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, handed appointment letters to 1,205 new constables in the Punjab Police with the recruits expressing gratitude, commending the transparent hiring process.

Maninder Singh, one of the newly appointed constables, shared that he had been planning to go abroad but now sees a future in serving the state, crediting the Chief Minister for securing his employment.

Sandeep Kaur, another recruit, became emotional while thanking the Chief Minister, noting her achievement as the first government employee in her family. She highlighted the significance of the fair recruitment process in achieving her goal.

Amritpal Singh, whose mother is battling cancer, described the job as a significant gift for his family, expressing relief and appreciation for the transparent selection process.

Jasbir Kaur, a newly appointed officer, reflected on the pride of joining the police force and thanked the Punjab government for the opportunity. For her, this job represents a fulfilled aspiration.

Manpreet Singh, an ex-serviceman, called his selection an honor, valuing the effort to channel the youth’s potential in a positive direction. He conveyed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for this initiative.

Sharanjit Kaur shared her journey of hard work and persistence. She credited Chief Minister Mann’s annual recruitment promise for turning her dream into reality, appreciating the corruption-free and unbiased hiring approach.
