Chandigarh, August 11: Security agencies across Chandigarh launched extensive search operations after multiple prominent schools received email threats claiming explosives had been placed inside campus premises. The scare affected educational institutions including Vivek High School in Sector 38, Carmel Convent School in Sector 9-B, St John’s High School and Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School in Sector 26, alongside St Stephen’s School in Sector 45-B. Police teams, bomb detection units, and sniffer dog squads immediately deployed to conduct thorough anti-sabotage sweeps. Law enforcement officials confirmed that exhaustive checks yielded no suspicious items or explosive materials, confirming the messages were hoax communications.
