New Delhi, 26 December 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the nation’s youth to be equipped with cutting-edge skills in emerging fields like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

Speaking at an event on Veer Bal Diwas, he underlined the necessity of adapting to rapidly advancing technologies and fostering a workforce capable of navigating these changes.

“The youth will play a critical role in the nation’s progress,” Modi said. “AI is revolutionizing the way we work, shifting us from traditional machines to intelligent systems. Our policies focus on ensuring that the young generation is prepared to face the evolving challenges of the future.”

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting young talent through its “youth-centric” initiatives. “The future demands more than conventional skills. It is essential that we foster confidence in young minds and enable them to tackle emerging challenges,” he added.

During the ceremony, held to mark Veer Bal Diwas, Modi also honored the courage of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, the Sahibzadas, whose sacrifice more than 300 years ago exemplified selfless valor.

“Despite their youth, the Sahibzadas stood firm in their belief, sacrificing their lives rather than surrendering to Mughal oppression,” Modi remarked. “Their bravery continues to inspire us all, especially the youth of today.”
