Srinagar, January 7 – Jammu and Kashmir Police, continuing their crackdown on drug trafficking, have attached a ₹1 crore property linked to a drug peddler in Anantnag district under the NDPS Act.
The attached property is a double-storey residential house belonging to Khurshid Ahmad Dar, a resident of Satkipora, and spans one Kanal of land. It is valued at approximately ₹1 crore and has been seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. Authorities connected the property to drug trafficking proceeds.
Khurshid Ahmad Dar is implicated in a major narcotics case, under FIR No. 47/2019, which saw the recovery of substantial quantities of contraband substances.
“This action demonstrates our continued dedication to eradicating the drug menace and targeting the financial networks supporting illegal narcotics,” said a police spokesman. “We aim to deter criminal activities and protect society from the harmful effects of drug abuse.”
The police also called on citizens to support their efforts in building a drug-free community and pledged stringent action against drug-related crimes.
