Varanasi, October 12, 2024 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Kashi on October 20 for a one-day trip, where he will unveil and lay the foundation stones of 17 development projects totaling around ₹1,300 crore. Preparations are in full swing for the PM’s visit.
Among the key events, Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed super specialty hospital by Shankar Netralya Trust, which was originally laid by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Prime Minister will also deliver two public addresses during his visit.
Modi’s visit, scheduled for around eight hours, will include a public gathering at Dr. Sompurnanand Stadium in Sigra, where he is expected to address more than 20,000 people.
According to reports, he will also lay the foundation stone for the new terminal building at Varanasi Airport and inaugurate the 17th center of Shankar Netralya at Tulsi Patti, Hariharpur. Approximately 1,000 invitees from the trust that operates the hospital will attend.
During the event at Dr. Sompurnanand Stadium, PM Modi will inaugurate the second and third phases of the stadium’s development. The stadium will also host a large number of national and international athletes for the event. Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate significant development projects in Sarnath and lay the foundation stone for the airport’s new terminal building.
The visit is expected to draw a large crowd as Kashi prepares to receive these significant infrastructural upgrades.
