CHANDIGARH, June 14: – A total of 87 MBA students from Panjab University’s University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) have secured placements through campus recruitment this season, with nine students receiving the highest annual package of ₹16.42 lakh.
The placement season drew participation from 26 companies across a wide range of sectors, including banking, finance, IT, insurance, marketing, and consulting. Among the major recruiters were Federal Bank, Mahindra Finance, Capgemini, Bunge, Tirupati HealthCare, SBI Mutual Funds, HDFC Life, Policy Bazaar, Growwtide, and Vodafone Idea.
Federal Bank offered the highest package on campus—₹16.42 LPA—to nine students. The bank, a consistent recruiter at UIAMS since 2012, also made the highest number of top-tier offers this year. Mahindra Finance, another long-standing participant in the placement drive, offered a package of ₹10 LPA to three students. The average salary across all offers stood at ₹6.84 LPA.
Roles offered to the students ranged from management trainee and relationship manager to sales executive, reflecting demand for managerial talent across functions.
UIAMS Director Anupreet Kaur Mavi praised the graduating batch and the placement team, stating, “The number and quality of placements reflect the strong academic foundation at the institute and its rising credibility among leading employers.”
