Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed on Monday that ordinary citizens’ trust in constitutional institutions represents the primary foundation of a functional democracy. Speaking as the chief guest at the 50th Foundation Day ceremony of the Lok Ayukta Organisation in Lucknow, the Chief Minister maintained that good governance cannot be realized without public confidence. He noted that institutions must ensure every individual, particularly those at the last rung of society, can approach redressal mechanisms with dignity and expect impartial, time-bound resolution of genuine grievances.
During the event, the Chief Minister released the Lok Ayukta Administration’s commemorative publication and informational booklet while reviewing an exhibition detailing the organization’s half-century history. Addressing operational challenges within administrative systems, Chief Minister Adityanath highlighted how technology-driven interventions, such as electronic Point of Sale systems in the Public Distribution System and robotic survey tools in the Revenue Department, have significantly streamlined operations and eliminated scope for manipulation. However, he cautioned that administrative machinery must act against habitual frivolous complainants to prevent systemic delays and protect institutional time dedicated to authentic cases.
