Patiala, 15 January 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended his best wishes to the newly announced political party, Akali Dal (waris Punjab de), formed by Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh’s father during a conference in Sri Muktsar Sahib on the occasion of Maghi.
Reacting to the announcement while inaugurating Hotel Ran Bas in Patiala, Mann stated, “Everyone has the right to form a party, and best wishes to them. Many parties are registered in the country, and it depends on people to decide if they like their agenda.”
The Chief Minister also underscored Punjab’s resilience and wisdom, saying, “Punjab is a fertile land where anything you sow can grow, except seeds of hatred. Attempts to create divisions among Punjabis have always failed. People here are very wise because they have endured a lot and remain the nation’s frontrunners.”
The new party’s launch has added a fresh dimension to Punjab’s political landscape, but it remains to be seen how it will resonate with the electorate in the months to come.
