Chandigarh, 10 October, 2024: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working to promote the welfare of Scheduled Castes in the state with the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities opening applications for the position of Chairperson of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission, with submissions due by October 15, 2024.
Social Justice Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said the government is committed to ensuring the effective implementation of welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes and is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee these efforts.
Eligible candidates must belong to the Scheduled Castes, be either an eminent person or a retired officer of the Punjab government, not below the rank of Principal Secretary, and under the age of 65.
Applications should be submitted to the Director of the Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Department at SCO No: 7, Phase-1, SAS Nagar, Mohali. Those who applied in response to the July 11, 2024 advertisement need not reapply. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
