Ferozepur, March 16 — The body of a young Amritdhari Sikh from Basti Bute Wali village in Jira constituency returned home after he traveled abroad, leaving his family in shock and grief. Yadvinder Singh, who had recently visited Malaysia and other countries, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a Malaysian hotel.

His brother, who has lived in Australia for the past decade, said Yadvinder had called him, claiming he had lost his money and needed financial help. The brother sent money twice but lost contact with him afterward. Concerned, he reached out to authorities and learned that Yadvinder had died in an accident.

Upon arriving in Malaysia, the brother was informed by police that Yadvinder had succumbed to injuries in an accident. However, he expressed doubts, pointing to injury marks on the body that suggested a different cause of death.

Dr. Nirvair Singh Uppal, a Sikh Federation leader, along with other dignitaries, criticized government inaction on such cases, alleging that foreign criminals not only rob but also kill travelers. He urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice for Yadvinder’s family.

Yadvinder is survived by his parents, wife, and two sons.
