Kangra, July 23: The Himachal Pradesh government has mobilized immediate financial aid and essential supplies for families impacted by recent cloudburst incidents in the Boh Valley of Kangra district. State authorities confirmed that administrative teams have delivered initial financial assistance alongside daily emergency kits to affected residents, with preliminary surveys recording full damage to 19 houses and partial structural harm to 17 others.
Following ground inspections conducted by regional representatives, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu interacted telephonically with impacted households to review relief operations.
“The state government stands firmly with the cloudburst-affected families and assures them of all possible assistance,” Chief Minister Sukhu stated.
He affirmed that public utilities, including drinking water supply systems and road access, are being restored on priority as field personnel work through difficult weather conditions. The Chief Minister also urged residents to maintain vigilance in light of ongoing heavy rainfall forecasts across the hill state.
District teams provided immediate relief of 25,000 rupees to families whose homes were completely ruined, while granting 10,000 rupees to those experiencing partial property loss. Senior officials noted that comprehensive damage assessments remain underway across public infrastructure networks.
