Chandigarh, December 5, 2024: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju expressed strong displeasure over the conduct of opposition parties during the ongoing winter session of Parliament.

Rijiju criticized their actions, accusing them of staging protests outside Parliament in “colorful clothes,” which he claimed violated parliamentary traditions and etiquette.

He accentuated that the government had scheduled time for discussions on all bills and proposals through the Business Advisory Committee, but the opposition was engaging in “dramas” instead of constructive debate within the House.

Meanwhile, Congress MP K.C. Venugopal accused the government of avoiding discussions on alleged corruption involving the Adani Group, describing it as the “biggest corruption in the country.”

He claimed the government was unwilling to even acknowledge Adani’s name in the debate.

Adding to the tensions, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being unable to investigate Adani, alleging that such a probe would implicate the Prime Minister himself. “Prime Minister Modi and Adani are one, not two,” Gandhi remarked, intensifying the opposition’s criticism of the government.
