Chandigarh, 6 February 2025: Mata Charan Kaur, mother of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has shared an emotional post expressing her sorrow and frustration with the Indian justice system.

As the third anniversary of Moosewala’s murder approaches in four months, she lamented the continued wait for justice while vowing to keep her son’s memory alive through his songs.

Kaur wrote, “Son, it will be three years in four months since we were separated. Even without you, I have kept your presence alive. I am tired of waiting, but I will not give up. The doors of the Indian judicial system seem too high to hear the pleas of your innocent family. But we will continue this battle for justice, just as your admirers have never left us alone.”

Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village, Mansa, a day after his VIP security was reduced.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar orchestrating the plot. Police have named 35 accused in the case, four of whom have died.
