Chandigarh, March 11 — A man died on the spot, and two women sustained leg injuries after a speeding Porsche rammed into two scooters near a petrol pump in Sector 4 on Monday evening.
According to police, the luxury car was coming from the opposite direction when it crashed into two Honda Activa scooters—one ridden by a man and the other carrying two women. The impact was so severe that the man’s leg was severed, leading to his immediate death, while the women suffered injuries.
The Porsche, moving at extremely high speed, dragged for some distance before crashing into an electric pole, damaging it. Police impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver but did not disclose his identity.
A case was being registered at Sector-3 police station, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
