Hyderabad, 5 December 2024: A stampede during the screening of Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on Wednesday night claimed the life of a woman and left three others injured.
The incident occurred as fans gathered in large numbers outside the theater at RTC X Road, hoping to meet Allu Arjun, who was attending the event. The sudden rush led to chaos, with people falling over one another.
Police intervened with a light lathicharge to control the situation and later admitted the injured to a nearby hospital. Doctors confirmed the death of one woman, whose identity remains unknown, while three others are receiving treatment.
Videos from the scene showed fans in distress, with police attempting to revive several individuals. Investigations are underway, and authorities are working to identify the deceased.
