Budgam, Sep 04 : A terrorist was killed and an AK rifle along with war-like stores were recovered during a joint search operation by the Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF in the Ashdar Gali area of Budgam district, Army officials said.
In a post on social media platform X, the Army, said the operation was launched following an encounter in the area, adding that the search operation is currently underway.
“OP ASHDAR, Budgam: Based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy, @JmuKmrPolice and @crpf_srinagar in general area Ashdar Gali, Budgam,” the post reads.
“It reads: Vigilant troops observed suspicious activity and, upon being challenged, terrorists opened fire, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire, during which one terrorist was neutralised and one AK rifle along with other war-like stores were recovered. Search operation is in progress,” it added.
